OUR STORY

I have been drawing monsters my whole life.  Some of my earliest and happiest memories are creating zombies, vampires, werewolves and aliens. I loved everything scary, and that love has never left me. I grew up in the height of the VHS era of Horror. Weekly trips to my local video store were a staple in my household.  Luckily, I had older siblings who could rent those movies that I would have never been able to get my hands on otherwise. I loved walking through the horror section and seeing those beautiful VHS boxes.  Those images fueled an impressionable mind. I'd go home and attempt to recreate those covers, but sadly I have lost all of these drawings (this is probably for the best).  I kept at it though, and my work has improved.  This eventually led me to go to art school at Columbia College in my hometown of Chicago where I studied photography and painting.

A sidenote on the name Toe.Eye.Ear: Many moons ago, it was a phase muttered by me or someone in my small circle of friends. The exact origin of who said what or why is long gone, but I do know that we all found it funny at the time. Now it has become the moniker of the Toe himself (William Zenisek), who is the founder of this little company. There are a few reasons why I have chosen this name, some of which I'll keep to myself.  The main reason is that it’s something rooted in my past, which is where my love of all things horror started.

I really just want to be a part of this whole horror community; it has given me so much joy in my life and this is my way of giving back...making rad things!
